Veronica Mckenzie
Veronica is a prolific creative. Her writing has been shortlisted for the Disney ABC Writing Fellowship Program, and quarter-finalist for the Nicholls Fellowship. After completing the Producers Certificate at UCLA, Veronica co-produced ‘THE LAST SUPPER’ (2011). She set up Reel Brit Productions producing shorts FINDING HOME (2014) and feature documentary ‘UNDER YOUR NOSE’ (2017) described as a ‘seminal work’ by the Black Cultural Archives. Her debut feature ‘NINE NIGHTS‘ starring T’Nia Miller and Jo Martin won the Pan African Film Festival Narrative Feature Director Award 2019, and is on Amazon and Apple TV.
Veronica completed Haringey Vanguard, a Black LGBTQ+ National Lottery Funded project (2020), and was part of the UK’s DIT Trade Mission to meet fellow filmmakers in Nigeria. She attended Cannes as a BFI ImPACT Producer (2022). Veronica produced Ships, Passengers & Ports for the Royal Maritime Museum in celebration of Windrush 2023, and has curated a number of unique exhibitions.
